Tidy Towns

Kenagh village has come out very good in the Tidy towns results which were announced last Monday. There was an overall increase of nine marks over last year’s results. The adjudicators gave much praise to the effort put in by all concerned. Waste Resource management and wild life and natural amenities were the two areas where gains were made which is a clear indication that wildlife and natural scenery are high on the list of what judges are looking for. Of course there was some criticism especially in regard to too much lawn mowing and over indulgence in flower pots. A little criticism is no harm as it helps to pin point where improvements can be made. Our congratulations to all the workers involved and to the voluntary workers on the KDDA. Following is a quote from the last paragraph of the report. Kenagh was a surprise to this adjudicator and he left being most impressed with not only the standard of presentation but the level of voluntary contribution shown by the tidy towns group. Best of luck and keep up the good work.
