There was a gloom cast over the area on Sunday of last week as news spread of the untimely death of Mr Leo Mc Entee, Fair Green, Arva which occurred as a result of a traffic accident in County Kildare. A keen motor enthusiast Leo had been on his way to Mondello Park to watch Car Racing when the accident occurred. He worked with Dermot for a while but following a bad accident some years ago he was unable to work. His abiding interest was in cars and all types of racing where he made numerous friends. Leo was able through these contacts to obtain car parts for his friends or to put people in contact with each other for parts that were hard to find. Leo was predeceased y his parents Edward (Ned) and Philomena and is survived by his brothers Eamonn, Padraig, Dermott, sisters Evelyn Mulligan, Phyllis (USA), daughter Sophie, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and many, many friends to all of whom we extend sincere sympathy. His remains were removed to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Arva where they were received by Rev Dan Sheridan P.P. Killeshandra on Tuesday evening who also celebrated his Requiem Mass on Wednesday with burial afterwards in Coronea Cemetery. There was a constant stream of mourners to his brother Dermot’s home where Leo reposed on Monday night and Tuesday while the attendance at both the removal and funeral was large and representative showing the popularity of Leo and his family.
