The wedding took place on Saturday August 31st of Mr. Thomas Mitchell,
son of Gerard and Sheila Mitchell, Kinkeen and Miss Kasia Zareba, daughter of Jerzy and Dana Zareba, Sklodowska, Miedzyzdroje, Poland. The ceremony in St. Peter’s Church, Miedzyzdroje was performed by Marian Jan Witteilb. The groomsmen were Seán Mitchell, Dominec Zareba and Andrew Sweeney and the Best Man was Steven Connolly. The bride was attended by Matron of Honour Karolina Zareba, and bridesmaids Ela Mitchell, Lisa Mitchell and Beata Tarka. The Flower Girls were Amelia, Karolina and Emma and Zosia Mitchell. The Sacred Scripture Readings were taken by Sheila Mitchell and Jerzy Zareba. The Offertory Gifts were borne by Thomas Mitchell and Kasia Zareba. Church music and vocals were contributed by the local church choir. The reception afterwards was held in The Aurora Hotel, Miedzyzdroje. The guests disported themselves at an enjoyable reception and Disco with music supplied by Andrzey Ulchurski. We wish Thomas and Kasia many years of happy marriage.

On Saturday last in their Division 1 encounter in Carrickmakeegan Drumreilly failed to reproduce the form that had catapulted them to Championship victory on the previous Sunday, and emerged on the wrong side of a 2-9 to 2-5 score against a lively Melvin Gaels fifteen. Active Age Outing
Last week the members of Drumreilly Active Age, along with a number of friends from the Cloone/Aughavas and Mohill Groups travelled by coach to make a four nights stay in the friendly ambience of the luxurious Seven Oaks Hotel Carlow.
Recalling September 1992
Francis Holahan was winner of the gold medal in the U-8 60 metres competition Community Games final in Mosney. Approximately one hundred enthusiasts attended Drumreilly Community Centre to enjoy an exposition of cooking by Maura Dufficy and Louise Kennedy of Córas Beóstoic agus Feóla and hosted by Drumreilly Branch I.C.A. as a fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. There was joy for Ciaran and Mary Holahan with the birth of their baby son. Mr. Pádraig Mulligan was conferred with a B. Tech degree. Drumreilly the Rural Champions defeated St. Mary’s the Towns Champions by 3-9 to 3-7 in the first round of the U-16 League. In an Introduction scholarship sponsored by I.F.A. / F.B.D. / EC Mr. Seán Maxwell had won an eight-day tour of Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.
