ROSE OF THE SHOW: Congratulations to Aoife Mollaghan on becoming the first Rose of the Show for Ballinalee Connemara Pony Show. It was a very enjoyable function and made possible by a willing team of volunteers. A big thank you to everyone who helped out on the night. Full report to follow next week.

ALL IRELAND: Congrats to Dearbhaile Kiernan Drumeel on winning the All Ireland Freshers GAA final with St Pats in Drumcondra. She was also recently awarded the “Jubilee Cup” in Cnoc Mhuire Granard for obtaining the highest points in her Leaving Cert. Well done Dearbhaile.

GATHERING WEEKEND: I am looking for volunteers to help with our local Gathering weekend August 23 – 25. We plan to have school reunions for all the old schools in the parish as part of it. Please contact myself if you wish to help.
