Tidy Towns: Meeting this Wednesday evening at 7 pm at Philip Quinn’s. Clean up to be carried out on Lisard Road and Lisnanagh .Thanks again to our local fire brigade staff for their help. Get in training, 5KM Sponsored fun run in aid of Tidy Towns will take place on Sunday 26th May.

Mostrim GAA: There was no jackpot winner in the last Lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 2, 14, 16, 19. Twenty-five euro winners were Marie Maguire, Eamon Murray, Mary Mulligan, Aughnacliffe and Dermot Maguire, Ardagh.

Community Games: We held our annual track & field event on Sun 21st April last. Well luckily the weather was in our favour. The committee would like to thank everyone that helped out. A huge thanks Richie & Gemma Cheevers, Angela Cheevers, Bridie Halpin, Mick Halpin, Grainne Mc Loughlin, John Gerard Campbell, Bernard Connell, Sylvia Connell,, Kate O’Donohoe, Rory O’Donohoe, Bernie Edwards, David Murphy, Rebecca McLoughlin, Seamus Gilchriest, Rachel McLoughlin, Brenda Foley, Majella Kelly, John McGerr senior & John McGerr Junior, Gerard Nuggent, Damien & Mary Doherty. Thanks also to Joe Fox for giving us the use of the county equipment. It was great to see such a big turn out on the day. The biggest thanks goes to all the children who participated. Training for the county finals will commence soon. The county finals will be held in Ballymahon on June 8 2013 so the children that came first or second will be able to take part in Ballymahon. All details plus a full list of all the winners will be in next weeks notes. We will be doing some fund raising in the next few weeks to buy a new strip for each child competing in the finals, so keep any eye out for us!!!. Thanks to everyone who took the time to come & support us & for making this years community games a great one. Also well done to the U-10 gaelic team who won the first of their community games matches on Wednesday last, best of luck for the next few matches. Thanks to Mick McCormack who coaches the team.
