CULLYFAD: The Progressive 25 cards finished a couple of weeks back with the overall winner Seamus Murtagh , runner up was Mary Cahill & John Brown, Eamon Casey the lowest score. Thanks to all who took part and hoped to see you all back in mid September. Now that Spring has arrived it’s time to think of grass cuttings and flowers etc. We have two new flower beds in place and are in the process of building stone around them. It means we have eight to attend to. But the response to asking some volunteers to do them was great . We now have twelve. If anyone else would like to give their name we would be delighted to hear from you. A meeting of those interested on Thursday eve next at eight o’clock in Cullyfad to arrange what to do. It’s coming close to cemetery Sunday again and I’m calling a work party for Monday eve 6th May. Please note date to do clean up and spray weed killer. No excuses please. Bring brush and tools 6.30 sharp. I would ask people in the Cullyfad area to keep your eyes open at eve and night as the peeping tom is back in the area. As we try and keep the area tidy would drivers of cars please stop dumping their rubbish on the side of the roads and bring it home with them. That’s it for this week.
