RECENT DEATH: Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sheila Daly O’Sullivan, sister of Hugh Clarke, Rooskey, who died recently in New Zealand. May she rest in peace.

SHAVE AND DYE: Thanks to everyone who supported the Shave or Dye in CJ’s last Friday night. A second shave and dye in aid of Cancer Ireland will take place in the Kon Tiki on Friday 24th of May in the Kon Tiki, music by Late Night Radio. A good night of dancing and craic guaranteed.

KILGLASS GAELS 10KM RUN AND 5KM WALK: Both events will take place on Sunday 12th of May at 2pm: Preparations are underway for these walks, the 5km walk will leave the pitch, turning right in by the piggery all the way around to Luke Padians house, turning right and back down to end at the pitch. The 10km run will start at Eamon Kellys house and will go all the way out the Kilglass loop until it turns down at the parochial house in Kilglass. It will then go around in a right hand loop and come back out at Legan cross. It continues up to Slatta crossroads turning left heading back down to finish at the pitch along with the walkers. Entry on the day is 10 euro for adults and 5 euro for children. Registration is from 12.30 until 1.45pm. The club would ask any volunteers from both inside and outside the club who may not be taking part but would like to help. THE GATHERING WEEKEND: 31st May to 3RD June: There are lots of events organised for this weekend starting with a music night in CJ’s on Friday, mixed activities on Saturday at the pitch and throughout the parish, walk on Sliabh Ban on Sunday followed by Pig on a Stick and music by Ray Lynam in the Kon Tiki. On Monday 3rd there will be a treasure hunt throughout the parish, details to be announced soon.

DRAGONS DEN: Well done to Shane Curran, Dublin, and grandson of Mae and Colm Hanley, Rooskey, who is a participant in next week’s Junior Dragon’s Den programme on Sunday night.
