Edgeworthstown

MIDLANDS SHOTOKAN KARATE: Last Saturday 16th February Edgeworthstown Karate Club hosted the annual Midlands Shotokan Karate Clubs course and grading. A brilliant day was had by all as over 65 students turned up en masse from all over the Midlands. Senseis Ciaran Wadd, Graham, Thomas Farrer,Lawrence DeBarra and John McDonnell collectively taught a high octane enjoyable two and a half hour class which all from beginners to senior grades thoroughly enjoyed. Afterwards Sensei Alan Smith conducted a grading which 25 students took part in. It’s fair to say that the tension and nerves were felt as the grading commenced but everybody came out with a good result thankfully. A special well done goes out to all Edgeworthstown students who did their home town very proud on the day. Also a big thanks is due to Gerard and all the Edgeworthstown community centre staff for facilitating in the smooth running of the day. For any more info on karate classes in the Midlands or Edgeworthstown call Ciaran on 0833068331.
