AGM: The AGM of the Joe Callaghan branch of C.C.E. takes place on Thursday 6th December in the Mostrim Arms at 8.15. All committee members are asked to attend.

Choir: The children’s choir practice for Christmas takes place in St. Mary’s church at 7pm on Thursday 6th. All welcome.

SCOIL BHRIDE GLEN: The Parents Association of Soil Bhride, Glen wish to thank everyone who took part in and supported their recent Card Drive. The drive was a great success. A very special thank you to Christy Parker Carpets, Tully’s Pharmacy, Quinn’s Hardware, Costcutter, J&M Gifts, Duffy’s Supervalu, John Rawle and Paul Fay, Bookmaker, who sponsored prizes for the raffle. Thank you to everyone who bought and sold tickets and to those who helped make the night a success.

THE GATHERING 2013: Edgeworthstown Community are hosting a Gathering from Thursday 4th July to Sunday 7th July 2013. A Launch night will be held on Friday 7th December 2012 at 8pm in The Green. Refreshments served. All are welcome.

Scor: Congratulations to the scor team who won club of the year for a second year in a row. Well done to all our participants who helped this to happen. Our Traditional music group qualified for the Semi Leinsters in Clonaslee, Co Laois on Saturday 15th December. This team consists of Aisling and Emma o’Reilly, Owen and Kirsten Smith and Maeve Donnolly. Maeve Donnelly also qualified in Recitation and in Sean nOs Dancing. Our Ballad Group who performed excellently on the day failed to make it through but the best team won. They were Melanie Moran Flood, Lynn Fox, Gemma Cheevers, Emily O Leary and Thomas Doyle. Our solo singer Aoife Mulligan from Shantum gave a lovely rendition of Skibbereen and did us proud even it she didn’t make it through. Our quiz team were young but managed to come joint third in the county, Well done to all concerned
