LONGFORD BRANCH CCE: is hosting the Fleadh Cheoil Contae Longfoirt in Ballinalee on May 11, 12, 13 next with the following programme of events. Friday 11: Set dancing and rince foirne competitions for all ages in the Thomas Ashe Hall at 8pm. Official fleadh opening and session in Rawle’s at 9.30pm. Saturday 12 : All competitions for U10s in the Thomas Ashe Hall at 1pm. Doors open at 12 noon. A ceili in the Longford Arms Hotel from 9pm – 12 midnight. Music by the Glenside Ceili band. A session will also be held in Farrell’s Ballinalee at 9.30pm. Sunday 13: All competitions in traditional music singing and comhra gaeilge from U12, 12-15, 15-18 and O-18 in Scoil Samthann Ballinalee at 2pm sharp. Doors open at 1.30pm. A ceili in the Longford Arms Hotel from 3pm – 6pm.Music by the Deenagh Ceili Band. Gig-rig performances will run from 5pm – 8pm with a variety of dancers and musicians. A session in the Stags head Ballinalee on Sunday at 9.30pm. All musicians dancers and singers are welcome.

CLONBRONEY COMMUNITY GAMES: Community games sports day will be held in McGuire park on Sunday May 20th at 12pm sharp. More details to follow next week.
