SYMPATHY: It was with deep regret that we learned of the death of Mrs Nuala O’Rourke Drumnawall Arva on Wednesday 1st February following a long illness. Nuala was a brilliant musician and taught the piano in her home to many students over a long number of years. Her remains were removed to the Church of the Sacred Heart Arva and following requiem Mass on Saturday burial took place in Coronea Cemetery. To her husband John ,son Michael,daughter Deirdre,granddaughter Melissa,brothers Dermot and Noel,sister Sr Majella,nephews and nieces and friends we extend our deepest sympathy. May she rest in peace.

FISHING COMPETITION RESULTS: Results of open boat pike fishing competition that took place on Sunday 19th February on Derries lake. 1st Joe McDermott Longford; 2nd Willie Simpson Enaghan; 3rd John Boyle Aughnacliffe; 4th Kerrie Lee Dring; heaviest fish John Boyle 15lbs 6 oz. 11 boats participated with 25 fish caught and released. Lee Moulins de Temple open boat pike fishing competition on Sunday 18th March from 11am to 4pm. More deals at later date.

DINNER DANCE: St Colummbas GFC Mullinlaghta will hold a dinner dance in the Pikers Lodge Hotel Loch Gowna on Saturday 3rd march. Tickets 25 euro are available in local shops in Mullinlaghta or from any club members. A very enjoyable night guaranteed.

SYMPATHY: We extend our deepest sympathy to Harry Kiernan Navan on the death of his brother Pat Kiernan Kilmore Dring. Also to Pat’s sisters Sr Monica Galway,Bridie Teresa and Margaret who all reside in England , Anne Shiels Dublin Sadie USA and Philomena Mayo. Pat’s remains were removed from Cavan General Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday evening 14th February to St Columbas Church Mullinalaghta and following requiem Mass on Wednesday burial took place in the local cemetery. May he rest in peace.
