CAMOGIE HISTORY: On Sunday next August 14 in the Imperial Hotel Cavan at 2.30pm Cavan Community Camogie Board will launch the centenary history of camogie within the county over the past one hundred years (1809 to 1909). With one thousand photographs and detailed history of the game in Cavan over the past century this publication will provide excellent reading for players past and present and for lovers of the game. It will be of special interest locally as Ballinagh club in addition to winning championship honours have also provided top class players who over the years gave sterling service to the various county teams in addition to providing referees who officiated at club and inter county level while other members served as county board officers . Everyone is invited and will receive a warm cead mile failte to the launch.

GARDENING CLUB: Annual General Meeting of Ballinagh Gardening Club on Monday 5th September with open competition as follows at 7.30pm. Veg tray 24 X 24 inches with five varieties of veg with 3 items of each variety except for cabbage turnips cauliflowers and lettuce where two heads is the number required. All will be judged on appearance,presentation, quality and colour. Flower table arrangements for hall . Entries free with money prizes.
