COLLECTION: A Church gate collection will be made at Ballymahon Forgney, Abbeyshrule Carrickedmond Kenagh and Tang on the weekend of the 17th and 18th September for Ballymahon Convent House Day Care Centre. The centre is closed now for August holidays and will re-open on Monday 29th August. New members are always welcome. They now have a fully equipped gym at the centre. Their annual outing will be to West Cork and takes place from the 1st to 4th September and there are still some places available. Please phone 087 2765200 or 087 2792153 to book your place.

60th BIRTHDAY: Congratulations to Liam Dooley Rathmore who celebrated his 60th Birthday in Cooney’s Hotel with his family and friends. We wish you all the best for the future Liam.

90TH BIRTHDAY: We send our very best wishes and good health for the future to Bill Dooley Rathmore who recently celebrated his 90th birthday with his wife Rita and all his family and friends at the Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule. We hope you enjoyed the celebration Bill.

SYMPATHY: We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to Benny O’Brien Bank of Ireland Ballymahon and to his wife Emer and all her family on the death last week of Emer’s father Kerry Sloane retired army commandant and a prominent businessman, Shancurragh Coosan Athlone at Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe. May his soul rest in peace.

LONGFORD MARATHON: For all those walking and running enthusiasts just a reminder to let you know that the Longford marathon takes place on Sunday 28th August.

WELCOME HOME: We welcome back to Ballymulvey Shirley McPartland and Paul who are over on holidays from Coventry,we hope you both enjoy your stay here. We also take this opportunity of sending our best wishes to Shirley’s parents Jim and Babs in Coventry who used to be very frequent visitors to Ballymahon. We wish you both good health in the years ahead.
