NEW ALBUM LAUNCH: Local man Tony Jordan will launch his new CD album entitled “The Place that you call home” in the El Paso Saloon Kenagh on Tuesday night August 16th. Artists appearing on the night The Rodeo Man TR Dallas Trevor Moyles, Frank Nelson,The Rodeo Man Kevin Prendergast and many more. MC on the night is Eugene Murphy of Shanonside Northern Sound Radio. Tony has just shot a DVD for Showcase TV on a programme called hot country. His single entitled the Place that you Call Home is receiving a lot of air play and is proving very popular on requests programmes on radio throughout the midlands and mid West regions. Show will commence at 9.30pm.We wish Tony well with his launch and hope to see a good turn out the night. The album and single will be available on the night and will be in all good record shops as well.
HOME FROM ENGLAND: Local man Paddy Moran brother of Tony Francie and Angela returned to his native heath for a week’s holidays from England recently. Paddy enjoyed his holiday with his siblings and many friends from former years. Paddy was a very lively character when living in Kenagh and Mosstown and was noted for his “take off” of the famous Michael O’Heir incorporating local people in his broadcast. We extend greetings to Paddy and look forward to his return very soon.
LOTTO: The numbers drawn in Kenagh GAA Lotto for Aug 7th were 3, 6, 14, 16. There were four match three winners Seamus Nolan Lismacmurragh ; Mark Nolan Lismacmurragh; Anon c/o Father Tom Barden and Daniel Boland c/o Enda McGann, all get twenty euro each. 9100 euro going on four correct numbers next week.
COMMUNITY GAMES:. Best of luck to the boys and girls who are competing in the National Swimming Finals this weekend in Athlone. No doubt they will bring lots of silverware back to Kenagh.
