SYMPATHY: We extend sincere sympathy to the family and many friends of the late Pierce Daly who was laid to rest following his funeral Mass in Aughnacliffe last Monday. Pierce who was in his 95th year was correspondent for North Longford most of his life where he and his notes will be missed by all. He kept in touch with many of us and was always a pleasure to meet. May he rest in peace.

BEST WISHES: and safe travelling to Paddy and Nancy Tighe from the Level Crossing at Streete Station. Nancy and her new electric mini scooter and Paddy in his new electric wheelchair will be seen on the road between their home and Rathowen Village most days, weather permitting. SYMPATHY: We extend sincere sympathy to Joe Devine, Lismacaffrey and family on the death of his sister Mrs. Mary Rushe, Mullingar whose funeral followed Mass in Mullingar Cathedral to Marlinstown Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

DEATH: The death took place of Mrs. Peg Murray, Mullingar and formerly Rathaspic, Rathowen where herself and her late husband Tommy were for many years in business. Mrs. Murray was aunt of Gerard Leslie, Streete, to whom we offer our condolence. May she rest in peace. Her burial took place in Rathaspic Cemetery.
