Annaduff beat St. Mary’s

Annaduff created a bit of a surprise by beating St. Mary’s by 1-8 to 1-3 in a poor Division 1 match in Pairc Sean on Saturday evening. Brendan Guckian and Ronan McCormack held their own in the vital midfield area against the Lowe brothers who starred for Leitrim against Sligo. Mickey Moran should call Guckian into the county panel as he would be a great asset either at midfield or upfront as he showed by scoring the only goal in the match. This was a poor match with Carrick leading at half time by 1-2 to 0-3.Annaduff improved in the second half although they were flattered by the five points winning margin. Annaduff: Kevin Ludlow, James Cox, Dermot Reynolds, Chris Farrell, Matty Cox (0-1), David Duignan (Capt.), Sean McNabola, Brendan Guckian (1-0), Ronan McCormack,Colm Cox, Cathal Cox, Ray Cox (0-4), Alan Cox (0-1), Joe Cox (0-2), Seamus Mulvihill. Subs used : Conor McLoughlin. In Division 3 on Sunday Annaduff beat Kiltubrid by 1-13 to 0-8. Best for Annaduff were Thomas Flanagan, John Faughnan, Noel Ward, Ronan McCormack and Niall Maxwell.
