Ardagh/Moydow Community Games Annual Track & Field Day: Was held on Sun 22 May 2011. Thanks to Henry Vaughan and Ardagh GAA club for the use of the pitch and all the facilities on the day, and also to Adrian Farrell for the sound system. The day ran very smoothly due to the great involvement from all the parents helping at the finish line and in running all the field events. All 1st place winners go through to the Community Games County Athletics Final on Sun June 26 in Ballymahon.

Congratulations to Jordi O’Rourke Grant, Adam Callan, Patrick Hanley, Niamh Finnan, Kate Beirne & Maryann Lynch who represented County Longford last weekend in the Community Games National Finals in Athlone in the group singing event. They came in 5th place overall which is a terrific result in such a competitive event. Thanks to Riona Lynch who trained them, and to all the parents who travelled with them to give support. Well done to Katie Lynch, Girls U8, and Cian Hartmann, Boys U10, who participated in the Art competition.
