Walk with Emily

“Walk a mile” with little Emily Kane, daughter of Frank and Theresa (nee Gearty), Drumlish who has a rare disease diagnosed as “Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis”. To highlight the awareness a “Walk a mile” sponsorship has been organised commencing on Sunday, 13 September 2015 from Drumlish Community Centre at 12 noon. Everyone is very welcome to join Emily.


Congratulations to John Devaney, Corneddan, Killoe who exchanged nuptial vows with Margaret Roe-Devaney, St Matthews Church, Ballymahon joined by families and friends. A sumptuous reception was enjoyed afterwards in the Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule. The parish extend many happy years of wedded bliss to John, Margaret and their families.

Well ! Well ! After a long wet and dreary summer, its all systems go upwards and onwards for all you youth be it first day at school or first year college. We wish everyone a pleasant transition experience and hope you all keep safe with a warm welcome back to all you teachers and staff.


The Diocesan Knock pilgrimage will be held on Sunday September 6, 2015 with a bus leaving Cullyfad at 10am, Ennybegs 10.10am. Tickets available in sacristy or you may pay on bus.

Killoe Celtic

Registration for Killoe Celtic soccer in Ennybegs Community Centre on Thursday, 3 September 2015 from 7-9pm. Cullyfad Community Centre Saturday, 5 September 2015 from 11am – 1pm. First child 30 euro, two children 50 euro, three children 65 euro, nursery 10 euro.

Church News

St Marys Ennybegs, Masses Wednesday/ Thursday Friday (First Friday) at 10am, Saturday 8pm. First Friday calls on Thursday and Friday in usual order. Please advise Fr Sean of any families, neighbours would welcome a visit. September collectors Saturday – Frank Toher/ PJ McManus, Sunday Robert Browne/ Liam Macken. Exposition blessed sacrament in both churches Wednesday 6 – 9pm. St Olivers Cullyfad mass Friday at 8pm (First Friday).

Community Games

Next Tuesday, 8th September, there will be an Information evening followed by an AGM in St. Teresa’s National School at 8pm. The Information session serves the purpose of informing the community about the wide variety of activities Killoe Community Games undertakes, to highlight the accomplishments of our local children and to encourage more children to partake. If anyone is interested in coming on the committee please come along. Parents can register their child on the night at no charge.

Cullyfad News

Bingo: €2,020 can be won on the bonus number this Wednesday night with another €1,000 to be won on “Spin the Wheel”. So come along for a good night’s entertainment and you might even win one of these prizes. We look forward to meeting you.
