A public meeting will be held in Ennybegs Community Centre on Wednesday, February 4 at 8.30pm to discuss the forthcoming centenary of Esker Hall, Killoe (June 1915 – June 2015) with the purpose of exploring ways and means to mark this historic occasion and landmark . Congratulations to our U15 Badminton team of Enda Bracken, Eoin Walsh, Evan Farrelly, Euan Finneran and their manager, Grainne Gormley who won the County Final on Friday night last in Edgeworthstown. They are now through to the first round of the Leinster games. Special thanks also to Conor Gilna who trained with the team. The Community Games Handwriting Competition took place recently in St. Teresa’s N.S. The results are as follows:- U10 Girls – 1st Sarah Ivel; 2nd Mia Shannon; 3rd Alex Lee. Killoe Community Games Art and Model Making Competitions will take place from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm on Sunday the 8th February 2015 in Enybegs Community Centre. The age categories for Art are U8, U10, U12, U14, and U16 for boys and girls. All art entries must have a Community Games theme. Any entry may be a drawing, painting, collage or cartoon. Drawing paper will be provided for all competitors. Please bring your own crayons, pencils, colours, collage materials etc. The age categories for Model Making are U10, U12, U14 and U16 for boys and girls. Please bring your own modelling clay and accessories. All exhibits must have a Community Games theme and any materials may be used.
Only entries completed at this event will be suitable for judging. All first place winners in each age group will go forward to the County Final. Best of luck to our tag rugby teams who play in the county final next weekend and congrats to our handwriting area winners who play their county final on Monday.
