Fundraiser
A Cake Sale and Jumble in aid of the Irish Cancer Society will be held by the sixth class pupils in St. Mary’s N.S. between 1pm and 3pm on Friday, January 13th. You are asked to support the fundraiser.

Recalling February 1993
Diocesan Catechist FR. John Phair C.C. Coronea conducted the annual Test in Religious Knowledge in St. Mary’s N.S. Drumlea. The following were among the winners of C.R.N. Feis medals: Catherine Fee, Amanda Looby, Marian Mulligan, Elaine McGirl, Mary McKeon, Rachel Kennedy, Linda, Jennifer and Caroline O Reilly and Karl McCartin. Full back Gerard Holahan until forced to retire through injury and Pat Donohoe performed admirably in Leitrim’s two points victory over Cavan. Goal-keeper Martin McCartin, defender Aidan Holahan and midfielder Pat Connolly starred for Leitrim in their Hastings Cup victory over Sligo. Drumreilly Macra na Feirme Club ran a successful Sports Night in the Community Centre, where the visitors from Arva and Kiltoghert joined the local members in enjoyable Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Pool and Darts sack-racing and egg- and -spoon races. Drumreilly Nine-a-side Minor opened their League campaign with a 3-8 to 1-1 victory over Bornacoola. The team was as follows: Gene

The death took place in England of former Crickeen resident Mr. George Woods.

Hospice collection
A collection in aid of North West Hospice will take place following Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Drumlea on next Saturday, February 8th. Your support will be gratefully appreciated.
