In addition to electing officers for the coming year, the AGM is an opportunity for people to offer fresh input and bring new ideas, enthusiasm and energy to Killoe Community Games. Before we start another Community Games year, we would like to thank all the young people of the Parish who took part in the various events – your enthusiasm and dedication has been excellent and you are all great ambassadors for the Parish of Killoe. Thanks to all the parents and supporters for all the encouragement and support not only to the children but also to the committee in carrying out our work, to the trainers, mentors and managers of all the activities for their time, dedication and energy that you gave voluntarily to these young people of our Parish; thanks to the parents who provided refreshments and a welcome to visiting teams at county and provincial level; to all our volunteers who helped out during the year especially at our Annual Sports Day, County Final, Provincial Finals, National Finals and our Disco – your contribution is greatly appreciated and valued. We would also like to thank The Longford Leader who publish our notes on a weekly basis, to Fr. Sean Casey for mass announcements and Parish Newsletter, Begley’s Pub for providing refreshments and music for our annual fundraiser, to all who donated money and spot prizes at our fundraiser, private donors; Cullyfad and Ennybegs Community Centres, St. Teresa’s N.S., and Emmet Og Club for very generously allowing us the use of their facilities for meetings, training, and events; the referees and adjudicators at the various events. Last but not least, thanks to the hard working committee for the great work you carry out in ensuring the smooth running of the organisation. Hopefully, I haven’t left out anyone – apologies if I have.
