Tidy Towns

Granard Tidy Towns Committee are delighted with their results in this year’s competition. Great credit is due to our small group of volunteers who put so much effort into improving our town and surrounds. With a few more volunteers, you never know where it would bring us next year. It is not all about work, we have loads of fun as well.  If you think our town looked well this year and have time, no matter how small to help, please contact any of the committee.  A big thank you to Joe Murphy and Maura Sheridan, Granard Area Action Group and the participants on the local Community Employment Scheme. Also to the RSS Scheme who greatly contributed to the work done. Thanks to the many homes and businesses who contributed to our success by putting out floral displays. We would also like to acknowledge the help and co-operation from Longford Co. Co and it’s employees.  The painting of buildings organised by Granard Tidy Towns through the Longford County Council Enhancement Scheme is underway.  You can find us on Facebook at Granard Tidy Towns Association.
