Development Association

Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 17th at the earlier time of 8pm. Please come along. Our inaugural entry into the Tidy Towns competition was a huge success. The work that was carried out during the year definitely paid off. For full results and adjudication reports see Our thanks last week neglected to mention our financial contributors (apologies!) but sincere thanks as we couldn’t have achieved what we have without you.

To all of you that enjoy Trad Music / dancing or wish to partake at any level the door is open and there is a warm welcome waiting for you at the next Seisiún on Friday, September 19th, 8pm – 9.30pm (slow seisiún) 9.30 onwards (open seisiún). Tá Fáilte roimhe gach duine!

Fun Run

A 3k or 6k (your choice) run/walk will take place in Lisryan Village on Sunday, September 28th at 1pm. We hope to raise much needed funds to enable us to purchase items to enhance and enrich our village. The 3/6k will finish with a well-deserved cup of tea in the heart of our village “The Crossroads Inn”. Registration on the day €5 per child and €10 per adult.

Clean Ups

Calling all households - once again our Saturday morning tidy up will take place every Saturday morning at 11am meeting at the Football pitch and finishing at 12.30. This is the time of year for pruning, planning and general cleaning in preparation for spring. We would be grateful if you could spare any time any Saturday to give a helping hand. Mighty work has already taken place in a short space of time.

Bonus Ball Draw

Lisryan and District local lotto is going well there are still a few numbers left to purchase, “If you’re not in you can’t win”. Congratulations to those that have won already, someone has been lucky twice! All you have to do is buy a number, €10 for five weeks €20 for ten weeks etc. and if your number is the bonus ball in the main Saturday night lotto draw you win half of what is in the pot. There is a WINNER every week. Last weeks’ bonus ball was 31 – winners were Linda Beirne & David O’Connor.
