Cul Camp

The Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camp takes place next week from the 14th to the 18th July in the GAA pitch Carrickedmond. This camp is a great way for boys and girls aged 6-13 to play the game and to learn GAA skills in a fun child friendly environment. The cost is 1st child €55, 2nd child €45 and 3rd/4th child €40 each. To book a place or for more information call 087-9126556.

Hard luck

To the Longford senior team and local club man, Barry O’Farrell who were defeated by Tipperary in the All Ireland qualifiers in Thurles on Saturday last. All concentration can now turn to the local county championship games.

Pilgrimage

A pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick Reek will take place on Sunday, July 27th next. If interested in travelling on this pilgrimage please bring a packed lunch a bottle of water and a long stick for climbing. To book a seat call 086 0405621 or 087 6613510.

Ballymahon Library

Join the summer reading buzz at your local library. Summer events in Ballymahon Library include: July 15th at 2pm Eileen Moynihan storyteller for 5 to 8 year olds. July 18th at 11am Magic show for aged 10 years and over.

Youth Summer Festival

Takes place from August 14th to 17th. This festival is a four day catholic event for youth aged 16 to 35 years. The festival will take place in the grounds of the Cistercian College at Mounth St Joseph’s Abbey, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. For more details log on to www.youth200.ie
