Community Games

Pride of the place this week goes to our U13 basketball boys team who overcame Killoe in the county final on Sunday last. The game was very close in the early stages with the score all square at 8 points at half time. However the Abbeylara/Mullinalaghta boys dug deep and defended well in the third quarter. They emerged victorious on a score of 22 – 12. The team on duty was Bryan Masterson, Cathal Gillian, Ciarán Scanlon, Cian O’Reilly, Connor Leonard and Cailon Lynch. This is the second trophy that the Community Games team have brought home this year as our U12 draughts team are county champions. We would like more parents to get involved and encourage their children to take part in the games. Please keep an eye on our facebook page for information on upcoming events. Our U13 boys and U13 fustal teams will be participating in competitions this week. We wish them well.
