It was just by chance I happened to turn on TG4 on Sunday evening last and on it was a competition linked to Scor na nOg, first to perform were the Bornacoola Scor na nOg figure dancers and what a performance they gave coming up against the cream of talent from all over Ireland they came in third place unfortunately not qualifying for the final as only one act goes through. So to all take a bow boys and girls and your mentors ye did us all proud.

4 Locks Cycling Club
A note to hand from Gabrielle Flynn regarding the 4 Locks Cycling Club and it reads as follows; The 4 Locks Club is now in its second year. Many of its members have become proficient cyclists and enjoy a spin every Sunday morning. The club is conscious that there are people who would like to join the club but feel we go too far for them. With this in mind the club is starting a shorter Sunday spin for beginners. The beginners section will meet at the same time and place on a Sunday morning. This is at 9. a.m. outside the Courthouse, Ballinamore. This regime will start on Sunday March 2nd.
All beginners will be very welcome. All you need is a bike in good working condition and a helmet. We look forward to meeting you Sunday morning (beginning 2 March) at 9 am outside the Courthouse, Ballinamore!
Ballinamore Kayak Run
This event will take place in Ballinamore and surrounding area. The thinking behind organizing the event is to introduce a semi serious sports event associated with the gentle picturesque surroundings of the Shannon Erne Waterways. The event will be suitable for serious sportsmen and sportswomen alike. It is also suitable for people who are interested in a fun event and there are even a number of spaces reserved for those who wish to complete the course in a relay. The event is being hosted at Easter when the town of Ballinamore hold their family fun packed Easter Spraoi. This means the whole family can have a wonderful weekend. The Kayak Run involves a run, a kayak and a cycle. The run will be circa 8km. The kayak will be circa 1km. The cycle will be circa 24km. The run takes place along the canal road towards the golf club in Ballinamore. You can register online or on the day between 10 and 12 a.m. see FB page for details. But hurry because places are already being booked at an alarming rate. For more information see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BallinamoreKayacRun
