Pride of place this week goes to our u13 boys basketball team who beat Killoe in the final on Sunday. The game was very tight all the way through and at half time it was 8 points each. But the Abbeylara/Mullinalaghta boys dug deep and defended well in the 3rd quarter and began to pull away. The game ended on a score of 22-12 in favour of us. The team on the day was Bryan Masterson, Cathal Gillian, Ciaron Scanlon, Cian O Reilly, Connor Leonard and Cailon Lynch. This is the second goal that the community games have won this year having already won the u12 draughts. We would like to see more kids get involved with the community games and parents are always welcomed. Please keep an eye on our facebook page for all information of upcoming events. We have an u13 boys and girls fustal team entered and that will be getting under way in the next week. Best of luck to the two teams.
