The final of the County League took place on Sunday night in The Millenium, Ballinagh and a huge crowd enjoyed the competition between two local teams from the parish. The holders Micsin’s, Kilcogy and neighbours The Hideaway battled it out with the latter winning by 3 matches to 1. The team was Ned McGahern Eddie McGahern, Martin McArdle, Gary Reilly, Aodie Kiernan, Aaron Reilly, Gene Reilly. Following another successful year, the tournament has revived the old game of ring throwing and some local experts have emerged especially among the younger generation. A team will take part in the All Ireland League in Ennis at the end of the month. Well done to the Hideaway and all teams who took part. More details can be had from Chairman Martin McArdle 087.2708804.
