Scouting Ireland intend to hold a public meeting in Kilglass GAA clubhouse on Wednesday night, 19th of February at 8.30pm. If you are interested in your children joining a scout group in your local area, or wish to become a volunteer, please attend the meeting. All are welcome. Following on from the Facebook page ‘Things Rooskey People Say’ which now has nearly 800 members, a public meeting will be held in the Weir Lodge, Rooskey, on Sunday 23rd of February at 5pm to discuss the feasibility of reviving a Rooskey carnival and regatta which were very successful in Rooskey in the past. In order for this to happen there would need to be a lot of people on board so please support. Anybody living outside the area with connections in Rooskey and surrounding townlands are also welcome.

Two one act comedy plays will take place in Kilglass Gaels GAA clubrooms on Friday 21st at 8.30pm and Sunday 23rd of February at 6.30pm. Booking is essential. The Moth production are holding a play called A Lock of Fierce Roars in the 98 Hall Ballinamuck on Wednesday night the 26th of February at 8pm. This play is directed and written by John McManus, so when you throw in McManus’s unique brand of mischief and comedy you are guaranteed for a great night of Laughter.
