We offer our deepest sympathy to Mrs Anna McKeon, Cleenrath, Aughnacliffe, on the death of her husband, Hugh, which occurred suddenly at his residence on Wednesday 27th November. Also sympathy to his sons Alan, Colm, Lee and Dylan, daughter Tracey. Hugh departed from this world working in his garage which he enjoyed doing. He will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him and especially by his wife and family. His remains were removed from his residence to St Colmcille Church, Aughanacliffe on Thursday evening and following requiem mass on Friday morning, burial took place in adjoining cemetery. May he rest in peace.

Congratulations to Mullinalaghta senior footballers who won the Leader Cup on Sunday December 1st in Pearse Park, Longford, by defeating current county champions Longford Slashers on a score of 1-9 to 11pts. The last time Mullinalaghta won this competition was in 1951. Well done to everyone concerned with bringing the Cup to Mullinalaghta.

Her remains were removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran on Monday evening and following funeral Mass on Tuesday, burial took place in the local cemetery. May she rest in peace.
‘Honk’ – a musical comedy
The Cnoc Mhuire Transition year class are currently putting the finishing touches to Honk, a music comedy that is based on the story of the ugly duckling. It is a heart-warming tale that will be enjoyed by both young and old. The musical takes place in the school sports hall on 17th, 18th and 19th December at 7.30pm.
