Monster Auction in aid of the Church Restoration Fund on 6th October at 2pm in the Kon Tiki. We are looking for items of good saleable quality. All donations, turf, logs, hay, household items (the old sheep/heifer) gratefully accepted. We are also looking for man/woman power in the run up to and on the day of Auction. Committee members will call to houses in the locality from Thursday 3rd to Sat 5th October to collect items for donation. No outside lots please.
On Bank Holiday Monday 28th October both Niall Kilcrann and Enda Daly will run the Dublin marathon in aid of the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice Foundation. The lads are asking for your help in order for them to help those who help others on a daily basis. Fundraising tickets with generous sponsored prizes are available from Niall and Enda and also the local retail outlets in Rooskey & Roscommon priced at five euro each. Draw will take place in Cox’s Bar Rooskey on Friday 25th October, with a number of GAA stars, past and present, attending as well as the visit of some silverware. Music and refreshments on the night.
