RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION: A major clean up has taken place during the month of April at Crossdoney Road, Ballinagh and acting in a completely voluntary capacity the group have totally transformed the area and the group feel that they can further strengthen the community sector by encouraging and promoting a vision of shared sustainable policy so that present and future generations can benefit from our shared actions and endeavours and believe that the entire community will continue to play their part in keeping the town tidy with all voluntary help appreciated. REUNION: Ballinagh Gaelic football club are finalising arrangements for the clubs major reunion which is taking place over the June Bank holiday weekend with the tournaments semi finals Ballyhaunis (Mayo) V Ballinagh and na Fianna (Dublin) taking on Roger Casements (England) on Saturday June 1st with the final down for decision on Sunday June 2nd with the highlight of the great occasion being the jubilee dinner at Crover House Hotel later on Sunday evening with the Uachtarain of Cumann Luith Cleas Gael Liam O’Neill as special guest of honour. In all the celebrations those responsible for the foundation of the club 125 years ago and members of the first Ballinagh team ever to win a Cavan county championship 100 years ago in 1913 will be fondly remembered and may their souls rest in peace.
