Thank you: The Parents Association of Lenamore National School would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in running our Car Boot Sale recently. 
A grateful thanks to Legan GAA who provided us with their grounds and Clubhouse, to ICA members who baked all the goodies and especially to all the parents who organised the fundraiser and participated on the day. A total of £1,106 was raised and is much appreciated.

GAA: Results of GAA Lotto draw held on Monday 6th May in Connaughton’s Rathowen for a jackpot of £6,700. Numbers drawn were 9, 14, 27 and 29. There was no jackpot winner. Match three winner of £100 was Maureen Boyce, Clygeen. This week’s draw took place in Slowey’s and results will be published next week.

Inny Anglers: Results of Inny Anglers Lotto draw held on 3rd May in Slowey’s for a jackpot of £2,150. Numbers drawn were 5, 6, 10 and 22. There was no jackpot winner. Special draw winners were Stephanie Lyons and Gerry Gilchrist.

Sympathy: We extend our sincere sympathy to Geraldine Kiernan, Tenelough and her family on the death of her brother Frank Gavin, Portlaoise who passed away last week. We also extend our deepest sympathy to Olivia Mannion, Foxhall Crescent on the death of her mother Margaret Smith, Cumminstown, Ballynacargy. RIP.

ICA: Results of ICA Federation Lotto draw held on Wednesday 8th May. Numbers drawn were 12, 25, 27 and 28. There was no jackpot winner. Special draw winners were Paul McNamee, Ballinamuck, Macken Family, Kilmore and M Healy, Newtowncashel. Next draw takes place on 22nd May for jackpot of £400. ICA’s Annual Sponsored Walk for Breast Cancer Research is on this Sunday 19th May starting at the Market Square, Longford at 3pm. Members and non members are welcome to support this worthy cause. On Wednesday 29th May, Jill Kirby will give a Ladies Personal Finance Seminar to the women of Longford on how to gain control over their personal finances and know how to deal with significant life changing decisions including inheritance tax, the importance of making a will and how to plan for the rising costs of child/senior care. The Seminars also cover how to preserve and grow wealth, how to balance the family budget, how to get the best deals on health and home insurance, Pensions, Mortgages and personal finances. The Seminar will be relaxed, jargon free, user friendly and Jill encourages plenty of interaction with her audience. The Seminar is free and takes place in the Rugby Club , Longford starting at 7.30pm. ICA is running a bus to Bloom in the Park on Friday 31st May , leaving Longford at 8.00am and returning at 6pm. Baby Girl: Congratulations to Brian and Caroline Kelly, Kinard on the birth of their first child a baby girl. The new baby Clodagh was born last week. A welcome grand daughter for Mary and Bernie. We hope mother and baby are doing well.
