First Holy Communion: On Saturday next the 18th May pupils from St Sinneachs National School Colehill will receive their First Holy Communion in Carrickedmond church at 11am. 
This special day will be celebrated by Fr Tiernan PP. We all hope that this special day for each boy and girl receiving their first holy communion will be a one that will be remembered by each one in the years to come. We all pray also the weather will be kind on Saturday next.

Social Gathering: A special social gathering and mass will take place in St Sinneachs hall Carrickedmond on Wednesday the 22nd May at 3pm. This is an opportunity for all senior citizens from the parish to come together for a special mass and blessing which will be celebrated by Fr Tiernan PP. All senior citizens from the parish are invited to attend this parish event. If anybody would like transport to this parish event please contact Fr Tiernan at 0449357442.

CADG: All two year re-certification is now complete in the parish. Congratulations to everyone who has completed this recertification. Thanks to all the instructors who gave of their time freely to conduct these classes. Training is now complete until September next. The Carrickedmond/Abbeyshrule defibrillator group remind all in the parish to make yourself failure with the location of the defibrillator nearest your home. Please note in the event of a cardiac arrest happening dial 999 asking for an ambulance. If you are interested in learning the skills of CPR new classes will take place in Carrickedmond in September next.

Exams: Best of luck to all from the parish who are about to commence their third level exams at this time and to all locally who are preparing for their junior and leaving cert exams which are fast approaching. Hopefully all will be prepared well and will achieve good results.
