Community Association: Clean-up continues on Tuesday evenings. Meet at Bridge. at 7 o’clock. Flowers – Ciara, Roy and Jeff are busy right now planting throughout the village for summer colour. Thanks to the Leavy family for the colourful display down their end of the village. Funds are badly needed to replenish the Tidy Towns account so a number of fund-raising activities are planned for the coming months. More details next week.

21ST BIRTHDAY: Congratulations to Enda McKiernan Knappogue who recently celebrated his 21st birthday with a party in the Richmond Inn Clondra with family and friends.

COMMUNITY GAMES: Community Games All Ireland medal winner. Congratulations to Cian Clancy Clondra who won a silver all Ireland medal recently in the U10 Community Games art competition, a first time national medal winner in art for Killashee. Cian had already won the Ashling Art Competition and also the Credit Union Competition in art in his age group earlier this year. Cian is only 8 years old and showing great promise so we wish him continued success for the future. He is son of Claire and Francie Clancy Clondra.

WOMEN’S MINI MARATHON: Best wishes to the ladies in the parish taking part next Monday June Bank holiday in the annual Flora mini marathon. Funds for local charities in the Longford area.
