New book: Has published the latest Volume of it’s journal Teathbha. It is edited to the highest standard of excellence and dedication by Dromard Historian, of renown, James MacNerney. The Book was launched by Sheila Reilly, Editor of The Longford Leader, in The Longford Arms, on Wednesday Oct. 26th last, before a large gathering of of Society Members, both from Dromard and around the County who were present to laud the new publication. James who has already edited several volumes, has generously agreed to publish one more edition. The Journal contains a feast of interesting Contributions, including; Ceilidhing in North Longford, by John J. McNamee, Corglass, Longford Men In The American Civil War, The Story of the colourful, Vincent Gill and The Longford News, The History Of Connolly Baracks; Goldsmith’s prophetic writings relating to our present financial circumstances. It is full of surprises and retails at 20 euro. Would make an ideal Christmas gift. Details of Sale locations to follow.
