FASHION SHOW: A gala memorial fashion show in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation and in memory of Annie Quinn, will be held on this Friday night 17th June in O’Reillys,Drumlish. Admission 10 euro. Heart disease is Ireland’s no 1 killer. More than 10,000 people die each year in Ireland from cardiovascular disease. The Irish Heart Foundation relies heavily on public funding. Approximately 93% of their funding comes from public and corporate donations. Money raised at this event will help fund heart research in conditions such as heart failure coronary heart disease, stroke and cardio mypathy. Annie spent most of her life giving to the local community in so many ways. Now it is your chance to give something back in her name. Arrival reception with hair and beauty demonstrations from 8pm. Show commences at 9pm. The fashion show will show case local fashion from Aine’s Boutique Clara Ellen, Grasshoppers,Matt O’Brien Dixons menswear & Gannons. All models are local , there will also be a prize for the best dressed lady on the night.

LONGFORD FEDERATION ICA GARDEN COMPETITION 2011: Flower Garden Competition: This competition is confined to ICA members only. Vegetable garden competition: open to all gardeners male and female in Co Longford. Childrens section: a small plot of either flowers or vegetables. Open to all children in Co Longford.
