DEATH: Deepest sympathy is extended to the Magan family Killahsee on the death of John who recently passed to his eternal rest in his 92nd year. May he RIP.

BIRTH: Congratulations to Paul McDonnell and Barbara King Clondra and Arizona on the recent birth of their baby girl Jessica Marie.

MINI MARATHON: Louise Bracken Knappogue would like to thank all her family friends and neighbours who sponsored her to run the ladies mini marathon on the 6th June last. The amount sponsored totalled 400 euro in aid of Longford Hospice. A very worthy cause and support was very much appreciated.

Thanks: Helen Oates and Mary McDonell Clondra wish to thank all their very generous sponsors both locally and at Longford Shopping Centre recently who participated in the mini marathon and completed the course. Total amount collected came to 740 euro and was donated to the Longford branch of CASA.

BBQ: St Bridgets GAA annaul BBQ & bon fire takes place in the GAA grounds on this Friday night 17th June. It promises to be a great night’s entertainment .Music on the night by the Fabulous Gobsmacked. Food will be served from 10.30 to 12 midnight. Fully licenced bar. Tickets are currently on sale and available from committee members and the usual outlets.

MANY THANKS: Longford woman Ann Jackson has indicated her desire to issue a special thank you to the McPartland family following a recent Friends of St Luke’s charity event. A welcome back party and refreshments were served at the popular Clondra venue where a great evening was had by all.
