CONGRATULATIONS: His many friends here in Mohill wish to join with me in congratulating Robert O’Callaghan on being on the winning team “Bish Rovers” representing his college St Josephs College Galway when they captured one of their biggest ever pots when they won the senior eight title at the British National School Boys Championship in Nottingham. It is the second time in history ‘Bish” have taken the title and now they take over as British champions from Elton College. Keep the Bish flag flying boys. You are a credit to us all. Robert is son of Seamus and Mary O’Callaghan formerly from Main St Mohill and now living in Galway . He is grandson of Eilish and the late Jim O’Callaghan Main St Mohill. Robert is currently sitting for his leaving certificate.

THANK YOU: The organising committee of Garvagh Community Centre wish to congratulate the Lough Rynn Players on their brilliant presentation of Anyone Can Rob a Bank: which they staged at the centre last Friday night. It was very enjoyable and a great success. SHOW MEETING: A meeting of Mohill Agricultural Show Committee will be held in Clarkes Hotel this Friday June 17th at 8.30 sharp. All committee members are requested to attend. Following the main meeting the horse and cattle committees will have their meetings.
COLLECTION FOR NCBI: The annual Church gate collection in aid of the Leirim branch of the National Council of the Blind will be taken up at Mohill Church this Saturday and Sunday June18th and 19th.Your support of this worthy cause will be greatly appreciated.
