CEMETERY SUNDAY: Streete, July 3rd. This year as in previous years it is hoped that Sunday Mass will be celebrated outside in the cemetery adjoining the Church of Ireland in Streete instead of inside in Boherqull. The Cemetery Mass this year takes place at the later time of 11.30a.m. not to clash with the Church of Ireland Service at 10a.m. Fr. Joe McGrath wishes to thank Rev. Jeanette and Rev. David Catterall for facilitating us and also our Church of Ireland neighbours and friends. The blessing of graves in the other cemeteries takes place after Mass that morning, first Coolamber then Boherquilll and finally the new cemetery.
VINTAGE: A meeting in connection with this years Streete Parish Park Vintage will take place in the centre this Thursday night at 9p.m. All men and women prepared to help on the 10th July are asked to attend. As in previous years help is most important so please try to attend. All welcome so we can plan ahead. Any queries or offers please call Brian 086 2596656 or email firstname.lastname@example.org

DRUMSNA: County Leitrim Vintage Day which had been postponed takes place this Sunday, just off the N4 near Carrick-on-Shannon. This Club are great supporters of Streete Vintage and we wish them a good day.
STREETE BOWLS: Even though it is the closed season, most of the panel meet every Tuesday night as usual. We have played three challenge games away against Ardagh, Castlepollard and Killucan. We are expecting return games at home from these teams in the near future. The next event in the bowls calendar is the Ballymore Pairs Tournament which will be held in the Greville Arms Hotel on Monday 20th. June at 8p.m. We are all looking forward to competing in this competition and our club hopes to have at least six pairs at this event. New members are welcome at the Streete club. Now is the ideal time to join as there is more time for instruction and coaching.
BOHERQUILL RAMBLERS: An intrepid band of Ramblers set out from Mullingar in the rain, heading west along the towpath of the Royal Canal on last Sunday afternoon, June 12th. This was the second Sunday in a row that the Ramblers had encountered rain, but they have the proper waterproof gear to cope with such conditions so their mood was not as damp as the day. On next Sunday, Maura Cullen will lead a 6-mile walk along the coastal path between Bray and Greystones. It is hoped numbers will be sufficient for a bus which would leave O’Brien’s Garage on the Lynn Road in Mullingar at 11 am sharp. Those wishing to join the walk are asked to phone Brian at 086 2596656 immediately, to determine numbers for the bus. Walkers are asked to bring a packed lunch. Plans are continuing for a weekend break in the Park Hotel in Mulranny, County Mayo in September. The group will leave on Fridayevening and return after a walk on Sunday. The cost will be €199 per head for two nights B & B and one evening meal.Guided walks are available at a small extra cost. Those interested are asked to contact Brian as soon as possible at 086 2596656 by text or email.
