Darren McGlynn Memorial Run

The Darren McGlynn Memorial Run took place last Sunday and was a resounding success. Over 240 tractors took off from Cloonfour just after 12 mid-day and travelled to Tarmonbarry, Scramogue, Strokestown, Kilglass and Ruskey before returning to Cloonfour. It is estimated that between all the venues up to three thousand people turned out to view and support the event. All funds collected are going to Help Mark to Walk campaign. Mark is a very young boy from Ahascaragh who needs urgent funds to carry out major operations abroad. Thousand of euro was raised but the final figure will not be available for a number of days. Thanks to Claire, Martina and Michael McGlynn and extended family for such an effort. Also thanks to all who contributed food, material for auction and everybody else who in anyway helped to make this event such a success.

Enrolment for First Holy Communion takes place on this Sunday, 4th October at 10.30am Mass.
