Clonguish Óg

The Clonguish stars of the future made their first trip to Croke Park as a team. 28 of our U8s made their way to the Capital on last Tuesday.  We divided into two teams of 14 and both teams faced St Fechin’s from Termonfeckin in County Louth and our lads knew how to keep the score board ticking over and ran out comfortable winners of both matches. The young Clonguish players were fairly well impressed with the Stadium and the quality of the playing surface with our own Michael Murphy describing the pitch as being class and great for showing off all our kids undoubted skills and class. The bus made a stop on the way up and home and it’s fair to say that all enjoyed their trip to Dublin and there were a lot of very tired kids at the Cul Camp on Wednesday, but needless to say all were delighted with the previous day’s outing.  Let’s hope for the kids and their parents and our club that we will get to see them all playing up there again on many important days to come for both Club and County. Finally, thanks to all who helped out on the day and we are back in action tonight (Wednesday) with a blitz at home starting at 7pm.
