On Sunday evening last a group of people with an interest in local history assembled at the monument in Clonfin and proceeded to walk in the footsteps of the 21 brave men who were involved on that famous day in 1921. It was very interesting to hear the Clonfin story while standing in the very positions occupied by those men and well done to Bernard, Sr.Maeve and John for their talks and sincere thanks to Terry Dolan and Jack Flood for the use of their land and to Frank, Maureen and Bridie for their great hospitality. A very enjoyable evening was had by all.
