Ballinamore Drama Festival
Ballinamore Drama Festival takes place from Sunday March 8th to March 15th. This year Éamon Daly from Drumshanbo will perform the official opening. Éamon is multi-talented in stage production, lighting, musical and a wonderful performer himself. It’s a great week of culture, drama and an even better social occasion. Come along any night or every night at 8.30pm and support this community week of entertainment which includes comedy and serious plays performed to a very high standard. Golf Society Outing
The Hit & Miss Golf Society will begin the 2015 season with their first official outing which will take place in The Slieve Russell Golf club on Saturday, 7th March. All members please be in the clubhouse at 10:30am. Our Captain Joe Mulligan welcomes all members and any new members that wish to attend. I heard our Captain Joe is polishing his new driver and has purchase new golf balls that he was assured will go straight in preparation for his Captain’s official drive in for 2015. All members make sure to support our Captain on the first tee and see how it is done. The very best wishes to you captain Joe for the 2015 season. “Tir na nOg Macra are hosting The Ultimate Table Quiz this Friday 6th of March at 9 o’clock in Creegan’s Pub, Bunlahy. This quiz is in aid of club promotion and to encourage new members to our ever growing society. There will be a raffle on the night with prizes such as a trailer of timber along with hampers of goodies. €10 per person, refreshments and music on the night. All welcome, its a night not to be missed.
Congratulations to Richard Smith and Jennie Grogan, Lough Owl, Mullingar, on the birth their baby daughter recently. The new arrival is to be named Zara and is a very welcome grandchild for Dermot and Joan Smith, Rathmore. Congratulations also to Donna and John Martin, Cunnareen, Aughnacliffe on the birth of their baby boy, Patrick during the week. We wish both couples and their new born good health and happiness in the future.
