St Brigid’s GAA Lotto next jackpot is €7,400 and in Magan’s on Sunday, 8th March. The yearly St Brigid’s lotto tickets are available from any of the committee members for €45. Purchasing this yearly subscription ensures you are entered into all draws throughout the year and you are assisting funding the club in the year ahead. Registration is now is now due priced at €40 for players (players are not insured if the registration is not paid). €20 for non players. Family deals available for €50. Money can be given to any of the Registrars - Johnny Casey, Michael Magan & Anne Evans Fundraising for a replacement of a defibrillator for the St Brigid’s GAA clubhouse. To assist in funding a new defibrillator we are looking for Scrap metal you may have lying around. It can be dropped in Liam Farrell’s yard in Clondra during the week between 9am and 5pm. Community Games

Congratulations to Emma Nevin who won a gold medal in the county art final on Saturday last. Emma will now represent Longford in the National finals in Athlone later in the year. We wish Emma the best of luck in Athlone. A long with Emma, Killashee was very well represented by Clodagh Cosgrove, Amy Jordan, Laura Kavanagh, Nicole Murphy, Cait Kiely, Laura Nevin, Clodagh Kiely and Annmarie Murphy in the girls competitions, while Michael Nolan, Mel Murtagh, Andrew Nolan, Tommy Killian, Cian Neary and Ruadhán Killian didn’t let the boys side down. Congratulations and well done to all our competitors.

Table Tennis

Best of luck to the U-16 boys who take on Newtowncashel in the semi - finals this week : Luke Lisle, Craig Gorman, Patrick Kenny, Rían Cox, Jack Magan, Peter Nolan, Matthew Jordan and Conor Casey. Congratulations to all our table tennis players who took part in a competition in St. John’s Hall, Longford last weekend. Well done to Luke Lisle who took first place in the U16 competition and Annmarie Murphy who finished in third place. Iarlaith Dolan came third in the U-13 competition.

Sympathy

It is with regret that we record the tragic passing of Noel Walsh, Aughnagore, Clondra following an accident recently. Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Patsy, son Ronnie and daughters Veronica and Bríd and their families, sisters, in - laws, relatives and friends. Noels funeral Mass took place in St. Brendan’s Church, Clondra followed by burial in Ballinakill cemetery. May his Soul in Peace. Deepest sympathy is extended to Gerry, Bernadette and Andrea Mulvihill, Curry on the death of Gerry’s mother, Bridget. Sympathy is extended to the many relatives of Bridget in Newtowncashel.
