Scranmogue Cermetery committee wish to thank all who contributed to the collection in the Cemetery on Cemetery Sunday recently. The amount collected was 2,545 euro.30 cent. This will help greatly in the upkeep of the graveyard over the coming year.

Cemetery Sunday

Clondra Cemetery Sunday takes place on Sunday, August 17th commencing with blessing of graves at 7.30pm followed by Mass at 8pm. There will be a collection at Whitehall Church on Saturday, 16th and Sunday, 17th August for the upkeep of Clondra Cemetery.


Irish Heart Foundation church gate collection takes place in the region on Saturday, 9th August and Sunday, 10th August.


Adoraration of the Blessed Sacrament in St. Anne’s Church, Scramogue takes place on Friday evenings between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

Warmer Homes

Roscommon Leader Partnership in conjunction with the Sustainability Energy Authority of Ireland is running a Warmer Homes Scheme. The Project will be free to individuals who are in receipt of either Fuel Allowance or Family Income Supplement (FIS) or Jobseekers Allowance for more than 6 months with a child/children under 7, a private home owner and the house was built prior to 2006. Only homes that have not received works can apply for this project. Please contact 090-66-30252 for the application form.

Community Cycle

Tarmonbarry/Scramogue Community Cycle every Monday evening at 7.30pm leaving from Centra. All are most welcome to get involved in this cycle. This is not a competitive cycle and there is no fee.

Fun Day in Ruskey

A fun day will take place in Ruskey on Sunday, 10th August from 1.30pm to 6pm at Community Centre in Village, Barbque, live music, Butter making, Sean Nos Dancing, Dog Show, Threshing, Arts and Crafts and much much more. Admission optional. Proceeds in aid of Ruskey Church Restoration Fund.
