Ardscoil Phádraig, Granard is currently enrolling for FETAC Level 5 courses in Animal Care and Nursing Studies. These FETAC Level 5 courses are suitable for both school leavers and mature students who wish to return to education and gain new skills or employment. They also provide links to certain courses in Universities and Institutes of Technology and can be worth up to 400 points. Students may be eligible for further education grants and be able to retain their social welfare benefits subject to usual conditions. Honda 50 Run
The event was a great success and the committee in Lus Na Greine are indebted to all who gave freely of their time to organise and take part in the run and to those who provided health and safety back up, breakdown services, those who contributed spot prizes, catering services and who helped in a number of other ways. Thanks also to our Garda for their support.

An important meeting of Granard Motte Community Enterprise (GMCE Ltd) will take place on Tuesday next, August 27, at 8.30pm in the Community Centre, Granard. Our project is now at a vital stage and some very important decisions must now be made. Motor Neurone Fundraiser
A Monster Barn Dance will take place in Rawle’s, Ballinalee on Friday 30 August. €200 for Best Fancy Dress – Fancy Dress is Optional. Music by various artists. Special door prize: Flat Screen TV. Foroige Youth Club
An inaugural meeting to set up a Foroige Club in Granard area will be held in Lus Na Greine on Wednesday, 25 September at 7.30 pm. We welcome volunteers, parents and all young people interested in this to come along. It is envisaged that this club will run alongside all our other youth services and youth groups as normal.
