There was deep regret here in Mohill on hearing of the death of Greg McNabola late of Corlaskagh Eslin who died in London on the 1st August 2013. Sadly he was predeceased by his wife and son RIP. Greg was a gentleman of many qualities. A great family man with a true faith who was an inspiration to the many friends he helped down the years. Greg went to London sixty three years ago. He and his late wife always welcomed and helped the many Irish who emigrated at that time. He was president of the Irish Association in London and was founder member of the Irish London GAA. Micheal Mulvanerty on behalf of the London Association spoke eloquently about Greg. He and a number of Greg’s friends travelled over to pay their final respects. The Mass was a celebration of Greg’s life and the lovely music added to the solemnity of this sad occasion. The celebrant Fr Sean Burke expressed his sympathy to the daughters, sons in law , grandchildren, brothers, sisters in law, nephews , nieces and their extended families. The Eslin GAA Club formed a guard of honour. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
