LADY GOLFERS: At the recently held Lady Captain and Lady Presidents competitions at Ballinamore golf club two local lady golfers beat off stiff opposition to take the prestigious titles. On the Saturday 14th of July Breige Solon won the lady Captains Prize (Jill Webster) after a keenly contested 18 hole stroke competition. On Saturday the 25th of August Maureen Heslin won the Lady Presidents Prize (Mrs Bridie Gannon) beating all comers in an 18 hole stroke competition. Both competitions had a big number of contestants.
