Defibrillator Group: The Carrickedmond/Abbeyshrule defibrillator group will commence CPR/AED two year recertification in St Sinneachs hall Carrickedmond on this Thursday night the 22nd September at 7.30pm. Hopefully all people concerned from the parish will be in attendance to recertify in this very important skill. New classes in CPR/AED are also been organised at present. The dates for these classes are as follows: The 13th, 18th and 27th October and 10th and 22nd of November. If you would like to book a place on one of these classes please contact Seamus Mc Guire 086-8286748 or Kathryn Keenan at 086-8226894. All parionishers are asked to make themselves familiar with the public access defibrillator’s located around the parish and especially with the defibrillator nearest your home. In the case of a sudden cardiac arrest remember to first call for help by dialing 999 or 112 then if possible send someone to get the nearest defibrillator and commence CPR.
Convent Day Care Centre: The convent house day care centre Ballymahon is now re-opened following the summer holidays. If you are interested in joining the group at the day care centre please contact Emer or Barney at 0872792153 or 0872765200 for more information.
Badminton Club:The badminton club season is now back and the local club will commence club activities for the new season on this Wednesday night in St Sinneachs hall Carrickedmond with registration at 8pm sharp. Information Night:Ballymahon Traders Association is hosting a “Business Start Up/Development Information night on Friday night the 23rd September in Cooney’s Hotel Ballymahon at 7pm. If you are interested in starting your own business and would like to expand please come along to this free information night. Speakers from the County Enterprise Board, Longford Community Resources Ltd, The VEC and Banking representatives will be in attendance. Everyone welcome.
